The anticipation of early Spring Crocus gets me through the worst of Winter.

"Hose-in-Hose" Primrose. Dates from the Elizabethan Era. Will self sow on occasion.

Trillium grandiflora starts to push out of the soil even before the snow has completely left the ground.

Our Toy poodle Peach. She likes to sleep in the sun.

Fern croziers back-lit by the setting sun.

Our resident Catbirds. They, or their progeny have been with us every Summer for sixteen years now.

Smilacena rasemosa shoots look like vipers rising from the ground. Later they bear plumes of tiny white flowers.

Incarvillea delavayi I grew from seed.

A collection of summer pots filled with colors and textures.

Part of the large succulent collection that keeps growing every year.

Arctotis.

Beautiful succulent Crassula.

Flower closeup of Batchelor's Button.

Frittilaria butterfly on Heliotrope.

View through the dining-room window out to the summer garden.

A bouquet of late Japanese Lilies. The vanilla scent is intoxicating.
