Shaping stone for the new patio.
The patio is 3/4 finished.

Showing off, basically...

The unfurling fronds of Adiantum pedatum or Maidenhair Fern.

Corydalis foliage has interesting red splotches.

A late April woodland bed.

Epimedium foliage loses its burgundy highlights by midsummer, but shows them off again in the Autumn.

Rock garden details.

Japanese Maple leaves in the early spring just starting to come out.

Hepatica foliage in mid-April.

Aquilegia x "McKana Giant".
Aquilegia vulgaris that volunteered by the front door, and amazed us with its gorgeous blossoms.

Aquilegia cluster in the perennial border.
I love the way these twisting stems of Papaver nudicaule, or Icelandic poppy rise above the blue mist of
  Myosotis scorpoides, or Forget-Me-Not.

Rhododendron blossoms glow in the May sun.

The shade house I built to house my Orchids and other shade-loving houseplants.

The oval woodland bed in full glory. It already needs to get thinned out.

Trillium recurvatum, or Prairie Trillium.
